Women... love... peace...

«The “DE LA VIDA Y DE LA PAZ” school was built in Pachacutec village, in the outskirts of Arequipa, in Peru’. This school is the first Mamani’s Foundation’s piece of work as a tangible result, that follows the love’s educational principles for life and peace. This educational center represents the first step towards the realization of a wider project which is the one to build the UNIVESITY OF LIFE AND PEACE, an educational institution built in addition to the actual one, and it will be able to integrate science and technology with spirituality. “In ancient times, in Peru’, there was some kind of females’ university, the AKLLAWASI. The Western university has a male’s imprint and is based on a outer world’s vision that neglects the inner world therefore the spirit.

The fundamental objective of the project is to recover and exploit the Akllawasi’s model, the educational path of a female culture that seven centuries ago brought into life a social organization, able to promote welfare, peace and respect for all creatures on Earth.

The pedagogy’s fundamental characteristic that we use is the one to regain the wisdom of the Andean educational projects and to use modern pedagogic methods, for instance the Waldorf’s one, used in various schools. The pursuit for truthfulness, love, respect and freedom, is linked to the attention given to the complete development of the child while looking carefully at his physical, animist and spiritual qualities and also at his ability to form a creative thought.

Hernan Huarache Mamani, a Quequa’s Indian, man of medicine of the Andeans’ traditions, university professor in Arequipa, in Peru’ and also divulger of wisdom of his population thought seminars and conferences.. He has published in Italy “In the Shaman’ eyes” and “ The carandera’s prophecy “ edited by Piemme and also in September 2005 he published “The woman with a silver tail” edited by Mondadori. The copyrights of his books have totally been donated in order to buy the fist plots of land where the “the School of Life and Peace” project is been carried out. The school is in Arequipa in Peru’. In September 2001, professor Mamani established The Mamani’s Foundation. The Mamani’s Inca Association, in Italy, supports and promotes his project.»
